What to ask on your enquiry form
Ask too little and you waste a phone call. Ask too much and they give up. These are the questions worth asking.
The essentials
- Name. So your reply is personal.
- Email or phone, their choice. Let them pick how they’d like to hear back.
- What they need, in their own words. One open box. It tells you more than any drop-down.
- Postcode or area. So you know straight away whether it’s a job you cover.
Worth adding
- The type of job, if you offer clearly different services
- How soon they need it done
- A box to agree you can contact them about the enquiry
Leave out
- Budget, unless your work varies hugely in price
- Account creation or long questionnaires
- Anything you can easily ask on the phone
